Leader of the Shang Dynasty
The Shang Dynasty was first ruled by Tang Shang. His given name was Lu. He ruled over the Shang Dynasty for 17 years. While he was leading the Shang Dynasty he appointed many officials to help him rule over it. He started over 16 wars, and from this he gained a lot of land. His ruling over this kingdom was considered good. He lowered the taxes for the people in this civilization, and he also lowered the conscription rate of the soldiers which means that soldiers didn't have to be a soldier for that long of an amount of time. His positive influences spreaded out to many tribes. These other tribes eventually became apart of the Shang Dynasty.
Here is one example of Shang Tang's generosity. During a drought many poor families had to sell their children in order to survive. Tang ordered gold coins to be made and distributed to the poor families that had been forced to sell their children. He gave them this money so that they would be able to buy their children back.
